Motorcyclist, 54, seriously injured in road collision in Icod de los Vinos

A 54-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured on Friday 31 July 2026 after colliding with a car on Avenida Canarias in the Tenerife municipality of Icod de los Vinos, according to the Gobierno de Canarias emergency coordination centre, CECOES 112.

What happened

According to information released by 112, at around 11:50 the operations room received an alert reporting a collision between a car and a motorcycle and stating that the rider required medical assistance. Upon receiving the call, CECOES activated the emergency resources needed to respond to the scene.

The Servicio de Urgencias Canario (SUC) assessed the casualty — a 54-year-old man — and found that he had initially sustained serious chest trauma.
